Data Deletion Request
Your Right to Delete
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data and health information. This right is protected under:
- HIPAA: Right to request restrictions and amendments to your protected health information
- CCPA: Right to deletion for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act
- GDPR: Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") for EU residents under the General Data Protection Regulation
- Apple App Store Requirements: Required account deletion capability for all apps offering account creation
How to Request Deletion
Option 1: In-App (Recommended)
The fastest and most secure way to delete your account. Processing occurs within 30 days.
- Open the myCARI app on your device
- Navigate to Settings from the main menu
- Select Account, then tap Delete Account
- Confirm your identity through verification
- Review the summary of what will be deleted
- Confirm your deletion request
Option 2: Email Request
Send your deletion request to privacy@mlpipes.ai with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include:
- Your registered email address
- Your full name as it appears in the app
- Reason for deletion (optional but helpful for improving our service)
Option 3: Web Portal
Submit your deletion request through our web portal at account.carihealth.ai
What Happens When You Delete
Immediate Actions

What We Must Retain
Certain data must be retained for legal and regulatory compliance:

Before You Delete
You Will Lose Access To
- All health records and history stored in myCARI
- Medication tracking and reminders
- Appointment history and scheduling
- AI-powered meal analysis and nutrition data
- Vitals tracking history (blood pressure, glucose, weight, etc.)
- Care team connections and shared access
- Message history with care team members
- Connected provider data and health summaries
- Any remaining subscription benefits
- Export capability for your data (export first if needed)
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All your health data, medication history, care team connections, and personal information will be permanently deleted. We cannot recover your data after deletion is processed. Please export any data you wish to keep before requesting deletion.
Alternatives to Deletion
Consider these alternatives before permanently deleting your account:

Verification Requirements
To protect your account, we require verification before processing deletion requests:

Processing Confirmation

- Deletion Complete: Final confirmation that your account and data have been permanently deleted (within 30 days)
