Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using myCARI ("the App," "Service," or "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MLPipes LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). Please read them carefully before using our Service.
2. Description of Service
myCARI is a comprehensive health management application that provides:
- Health Tracking: Monitor and log your health metrics, vitals, and wellness data over time
- Medication Management: Track medications, set reminders, and manage your prescription schedules
- Apple HealthKit Integration: Import and sync health data from Apple Health for a unified health view
- FHIR Health Records: Connect to healthcare providers using the FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standard to import your medical records
- Care Team Collaboration: Invite family members or caregivers to view and help manage your health information through consent-based sharing
- AI-Powered Insights: Receive personalized health insights and recommendations powered by artificial intelligence based on your health data
- AI Meal Tracker: Use AI-powered food recognition to log meals and track nutritional information
- Secure Messaging: Communicate securely with your care team members within the app
3. Eligibility
To use myCARI, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements. If you are using the App on behalf of another person (such as a dependent), you represent that you have the legal authority to do so.
4. Account Registration and Security
To access certain features of myCARI, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or contain inaccurate information.
5. Subscription and Payments
5.1 Free Trial
New users are eligible for a 30-day free trial of myCARI Premium features. The free trial includes full access to all premium features with no limitations.
5.2 Subscription Plans
After your free trial, you may choose from the following subscription options:

5.4 Care Team Access
Care team members who are invited by a primary (paying) user receive free access to myCARI. Care team members can view shared health information and collaborate with the primary user at no cost, as long as the primary user maintains an active subscription.
5.5 Billing and Cancellation
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
- Payment is processed through the Apple App Store
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
- If you cancel, you will retain access to premium features until the end of your paid period
- After cancellation, your account will revert to the free tier
6. User Conduct
6.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use myCARI only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
6.2 Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
- Collect or store personal data about other users without their consent
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
- Share your account credentials with others
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent health information
6.3 Care Team Conduct
If you are a care team member, you additionally agree to:
- Only access health information that has been explicitly shared with you
- Use shared health information solely for the purpose of supporting the primary user
- Not share or disclose the primary user's health information to third parties
- Respect the primary user's privacy and the confidentiality of their health data
- Promptly report any unauthorized access or data breaches
7. Health Information Disclaimer
7.1 Not Medical Advice
The information provided through myCARI, including health tracking, insights, and recommendations, is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to be, and should not be construed as, medical advice.
Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read or seen in the App.
7.2 AI-Generated Insights
myCARI uses artificial intelligence to provide health insights and recommendations. These AI-generated insights:
- Are based on the data you provide and general health information
- Are not reviewed by medical professionals before being presented to you
- May not account for your complete medical history or individual circumstances
- Should not be used as the sole basis for any health-related decisions
- Are provided "as is" without any warranty of accuracy or completeness
7.3 AI Meal Tracker
The AI Meal Tracker feature uses image recognition and artificial intelligence to identify foods and estimate nutritional information. You acknowledge that:
- Food identification may not always be accurate
- Nutritional estimates are approximations based on standard serving sizes
- Actual nutritional content may vary based on preparation methods, ingredients, and portion sizes
- This feature should not be relied upon for strict dietary requirements or medical nutrition therapy
7.4 Data Accuracy
While we strive to provide accurate health information, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information provided through the App. Health data imported from third-party sources (including HealthKit and FHIR providers) is provided as-is and may contain errors or inaccuracies.
8. Emergency Services
8.1 Emergency Features
myCARI may include features designed to assist in emergency situations, such as emergency contact information, medical ID, or alerts. These features are provided as a convenience and are not a substitute for emergency services.
8.2 Limitations
myCARI is not an emergency response service. We do not:
- Monitor your health in real-time
- Dispatch emergency services
- Guarantee that emergency features will function in all circumstances
- Provide immediate assistance in emergency situations
Do not rely on myCARI for emergency medical assistance. Always contact emergency services directly when facing a medical emergency.
9. Care Team Features
9.1 Primary User Rights
As a primary user, you have full control over your care team. You may:
- Invite or remove care team members at any time
- Control what health information is shared with each care team member
- Revoke access to your health data at any time
- View all activity by care team members on your health data
9.2 Care Team Member Requirements
To become a care team member, an individual must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Accept an invitation from the primary user
- Create a myCARI account
- Agree to these Terms of Service
9.3 Care Team Member Responsibilities
Care team members are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of shared health information
- Using the App only as intended for care coordination
- Respecting the primary user's privacy preferences
- Not sharing access credentials with others
9.4 Messaging
The secure messaging feature allows communication between primary users and their care team members. Message retention and deletion policies:
- Messages are stored securely and encrypted
- Messages are retained for the duration of the care team relationship
- When a care team member is removed, their access to message history is revoked
- Primary users may delete message threads at any time
- Deleted messages cannot be recovered
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 Our Property
The myCARI App, including all content, features, functionality, design, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is owned by MLPipes LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
10.2 Limited License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
This license does not include the right to:
- Modify, copy, or create derivative works of the App
- Sell, license, or distribute the App or any part thereof
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Use the App for any commercial purpose
10.3 Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the App, including health data, notes, and other information ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
We do not claim ownership of Your Content. Your health data belongs to you, and you may export or delete it at any time.
10.4 Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the App ("Feedback"), you grant us an unlimited, irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such Feedback into our products and services without any obligation to you.
11. Third-Party Services
myCARI integrates with third-party services, including Apple HealthKit, healthcare providers (via FHIR), and other services. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for:
- The availability or accuracy of third-party services
- The content or practices of third-party services
- Any damages arising from your use of third-party services
12. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and sharing of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
By using myCARI, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Disclaimers
13.1 "AS IS" Provision
THE APP AND ALL CONTENT, FEATURES, AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT
- WARRANTIES THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE
- WARRANTIES AS TO THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ANY INFORMATION
13.2 No Guarantee
We do not guarantee that:
- The App will meet your specific requirements
- The App will be available at all times or in all locations
- Any errors will be corrected
- The App is free of viruses or other harmful components
- The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
14. Limitation of Liability
14.1 Exclusion of Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MLPIPES LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY:
- INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
- LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY THIRD-PARTY CONTENT OR SERVICES
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT OR DATA
14.2 Liability Cap
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
- ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00), OR
- THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MLPipes LLC, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Any content you submit to the App
16. Modifications to Service and Terms
16.1 Service Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part thereof at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
16.2 Terms Modifications
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available in the App. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the App will immediately cease
- You may request export of your data within 30 days
- We may delete your account and data after 30 days
- All provisions of these Terms that should survive termination shall survive
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the App settings.
18. Dispute Resolution
18.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal legal action, you agree to contact us at legal@mlpipes.ai and attempt to resolve any dispute informally for at least 30 days.
18.2 Arbitration
If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, you agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules.
Arbitration will be conducted in Clark County, Nevada, or another mutually agreed location. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding.
18.3 Class Action Waiver
YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against MLPipes LLC.
18.4 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action that is not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada.
19. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MLPipes LLC regarding the App.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of such right or provision.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
- Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
- Notices: We may provide notices to you through the App, by email, or by other reasonable means.
- Headings: Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal effect.
20. Apple-Specific Terms
If you are using myCARI on an Apple device, the following additional terms apply:
- These Terms are between you and MLPipes LLC only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple")
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App
- Apple is not responsible for any product warranties or claims relating to the App
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement claims
- In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if applicable); Apple has no other warranty obligation
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you
- Your use of the App must comply with Apple's App Store Terms of Service
