Care Team Member Agreement
1. Introduction
This Care Team Member Agreement ("Agreement") governs your access to and use of the myCARI application ("App") as a Care Team Member. By accepting an invitation to join a Primary User's Care Team, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
This Agreement is a legally binding contract between you ("Care Team Member," "you," or "your") and MLPipes LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). Your access to the Primary User's health information through the App is contingent upon your continued compliance with this Agreement.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of this Agreement:
- Primary User: The individual who has created a myCARI account and has invited you to be part of their Care Team. The Primary User is the owner and controller of their personal health information within the App.
- Care Team Member: An individual (you) who has been invited by and accepted an invitation from a Primary User to access certain features and information within the App to assist with the Primary User's health management.
- PHI (Protected Health Information): Any individually identifiable health information that relates to the past, present, or future physical or mental health condition of the Primary User, the provision of healthcare to the Primary User, or payment for healthcare, as defined under HIPAA.
- Care Team: The collective group of individuals authorized by the Primary User to access their health information through the App, which may include family members, friends, professional caregivers, and healthcare providers.
3. Your Role as a Care Team Member
3.1 Purpose of Access
Your access to the Primary User's health information is granted solely for the following purposes:
- Providing Care: Directly assisting the Primary User with their daily health needs, including medication management, appointment scheduling, and health monitoring.
- Coordinating Care: Communicating with other Care Team Members and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and effective care for the Primary User.
- Monitoring Health: Reviewing health data, trends, and alerts to identify potential health concerns and ensure the Primary User's wellbeing.
- Communicating: Using the App's messaging features to stay in contact with the Primary User and other authorized Care Team Members regarding health-related matters.
- Assisting: Helping the Primary User navigate the App, understand their health information, and make informed decisions about their care.
3.2 Types of Care Team Members

4. Access and Permissions
4.1 Permission Levels
Your access level is determined and controlled by the Primary User. The available permission levels are:

4.2 Access Limitations
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Your access is limited to the permission level granted by the Primary User
- The Primary User may change your permission level at any time without notice
- The Primary User may revoke your access entirely at any time without notice
- Certain features may be restricted based on your Care Team Member type
- We may temporarily suspend your access for security or compliance reasons
- You may not attempt to access information beyond your authorized permission level
5. Your Responsibilities
5.1 Confidentiality
You agree to maintain strict confidentiality of all Primary User health information by:
- Treating all health information accessed through the App as strictly confidential and private.
- Not disclosing, sharing, or discussing the Primary User's health information with any person not authorized by the Primary User, including other family members, friends, or colleagues.
- Securing all devices used to access the App with strong passwords, PINs, or biometric authentication.
- Immediately notifying the Primary User and MLPipes LLC if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account or the Primary User's information.
5.2 Appropriate Use
You agree to use the App and the Primary User's health information only in appropriate ways:
- Access health information only when necessary for your caregiving role
- Use messaging features solely for health-related communication with the Care Team
- Respect the Primary User's privacy preferences and any restrictions they communicate
- Keep your account credentials secure and never share them with others
- Log out of the App when not actively using it, especially on shared devices
5.3 Prohibited Actions
You agree NOT to engage in any of the following prohibited actions:
- Sharing your login credentials with any other person for any reason
- Copying, downloading, printing, or exporting the Primary User's health information without their explicit written permission
- Using the Primary User's health information for any purpose other than providing care and support
- Discussing or displaying the Primary User's health information in public places or where unauthorized persons may overhear or view it
- Selling, trading, or otherwise monetizing access to or use of the Primary User's health information
- Attempting to circumvent security measures, access controls, or audit logging within the App
6. Messaging Guidelines
6.1 Appropriate Communication
The App's messaging features are provided for Care Team coordination. You agree to:
- Keep messages focused on the Primary User's health and care needs
- Communicate respectfully with all Care Team Members
- Respond to urgent messages in a timely manner when you are the designated point of contact
- Use clear and accurate language when discussing health matters
6.2 Message Retention
You understand that:
- All messages sent through the App are stored and may be retained for up to 6 years
- Messages may be reviewed by the Primary User at any time
- Message history is included in audit logs for Professional-level Care Team Members
6.3 Prohibited Content
You agree not to send messages that contain:
- Harassing, threatening, or abusive language
- Medical advice beyond your scope of practice or qualifications
- False or misleading health information
- Solicitations for products or services
- Content unrelated to the Primary User's care
7. Audit Logging and Monitoring
7.1 What We Log
The App maintains detailed audit logs of all Care Team Member activity, including:
- Login and logout times
- Pages and data viewed
- Actions taken (edits, additions, deletions)
- Messages sent and received
- Changes to settings or permissions
- Export or download requests
7.2 Primary User Visibility
The Primary User has access to view:
- A summary of your activity within the App
- What information you have accessed and when
- All messages you have sent to the Care Team
- Any alerts or flags generated by your activity
7.3 Audit Retention
Audit logs are retained for a minimum of 6 years in compliance with HIPAA requirements. This retention period may be extended if required by law or ongoing investigations.
8. Term and Termination
8.1 Duration
This Agreement becomes effective when you accept an invitation to join a Care Team and remains in effect until terminated as described below.
8.2 Voluntary Departure
You may voluntarily leave a Care Team at any time by:
- Using the "Leave Care Team" function within the App
- Contacting us at support@mlpipes.ai to request removal
8.3 Removal by Primary User
The Primary User may remove you from their Care Team at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. You will receive a notification when you have been removed.
8.4 Effect of Termination
Upon termination of your Care Team membership:
- Your access to the Primary User's health information will be immediately revoked
- You will no longer be able to view health data, send messages, or receive alerts
- Your confidentiality obligations continue indefinitely
- Audit logs of your activity will be retained according to our retention policy
- You must delete any copies of health information you may have retained (if any were authorized)
9. Legal Acknowledgments
9.1 Not a Healthcare Provider Relationship
You acknowledge that your use of the App does not create a healthcare provider-patient relationship between you and MLPipes LLC. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App is a tool to facilitate care coordination, not a substitute for professional medical care.
9.2 HIPAA Acknowledgment
You acknowledge that the Primary User's health information may constitute Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA. While the Primary User controls their own health information, you agree to handle all information accessed through the App with the same level of care required for PHI, regardless of whether HIPAA directly applies to you.
9.3 Liability
You agree that:
- You are solely responsible for your actions as a Care Team Member
- MLPipes LLC is not liable for any decisions you make based on information accessed through the App
- You will indemnify and hold harmless MLPipes LLC from any claims arising from your violation of this Agreement
- Any disputes will be governed by the laws of the State of Nevada
10. Electronic Signature
By accepting an invitation to join a Care Team through the App, you are providing your electronic signature and agreeing to the terms of this Agreement. This electronic acceptance has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.
Your acceptance is recorded with:
- Your registered name and email address
- The date and time of acceptance
- Your IP address
- Device information
11. Changes to This Agreement
We may update this Agreement from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.
We encourage you to review this Agreement periodically. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document indicates when the Agreement was last revised.

13. Acknowledgment
By accepting an invitation to join a Care Team, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You have read and understood this entire Care Team Member Agreement.
- You agree to comply with all terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.
- You understand that your access is granted by and at the discretion of the Primary User.
- You will maintain the confidentiality of all health information you access.
- You understand that your activity within the App is logged and monitored.
- You accept responsibility for your actions as a Care Team Member.
- You understand that violation of this Agreement may result in immediate termination of your access and potential legal action.
