How do I import my health records?+
myCARI currently connects to Epic MyChart, used by 250+ million patients at hospitals and clinics across the US. You authenticate directly with your healthcare provider using OAuth 2.0—your credentials are never stored by myCARI. Once authenticated, you choose which records to import. Support for additional providers is coming soon.
Who can see my health data?+
Only the people you explicitly authorize. When you add someone to your care team, you grant them specific permission levels. You can choose to share medications, appointments, vitals, or other categories—and you can revoke access at any time. myCARI never shares your data without your explicit consent.
How do I control what my care team can access?+
Each care team member receives only the access level you authorize. Permission levels include familyBasic (limited view), familyFull (complete access), and caretakerStandard (professional caregiver access). You can modify these permissions at any time through the app's settings.
Is my health data secure?+
Yes. myCARI is built on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform. Your data is encrypted with AES-256 encryption both at rest and in transit. We maintain full audit trails, implement multi-container isolation, and never sell your data to anyone. Ever.
How many family members can I add?+
Unlimited! You can add as many care team members as you need—and they all get free access. Whether it's siblings coordinating care for parents, or a professional caregiver managing multiple patients, everyone joins free. You just control what each person can see.
What's the difference between Wellness Mode and Care Mode?+
Wellness Mode features a vibrant, data-rich interface designed for fitness enthusiasts tracking workouts, nutrition, and health metrics. Care Mode activates an accessibility-first design with 1.5x larger text and 80pt touch targets, perfect for elderly users or anyone who prefers larger, easier-to-read displays.
Does myCARI work with Apple Watch and Oura Ring?+
Yes! myCARI integrates with Apple Watch for fall detection, SOS alerts, and workout tracking. It also works with Oura Ring (Gen 3 & Gen 4) for heart rate, HRV, body temperature, SpO2, and sleep tracking. Both devices sync through Apple Health — you can use one or both for complete wellness and safety coverage.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes, myCARI offers a 30-day free trial with full access to all premium features for first-time subscribers. No credit card required to start. At the end of 30 days, you'll be moved to the Free Tier unless you subscribe. Note: the free trial is only available once — if you've previously subscribed and cancelled, resubscribing begins a paid billing cycle immediately. Your health data is never deleted.
What happens after the free trial?+
After your 30-day trial ends, you're automatically moved to the Free Tier if you don't subscribe. Free Tier includes: tracking up to 3 medications, up to 3 appointments, Apple Health sync, and vital tracking. Premium features like AI Health Coach, AI Meal Tracker, unlimited medications and appointments, Epic MyChart import, and inviting care team members require a subscription ($9.99/month or $79.99/year).
Is my care team membership free?+
Yes! If you're invited to join someone's care team, you can view their health data, receive SOS alerts, and send messages for FREE forever—no subscription required. First-time users get a 30-day trial of premium features for their own health tracking. After that, you only need to subscribe if you want premium features for your own account.
What is the refund policy?+
Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable once the billing period begins. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable with no prorated refunds for unused time. Exceptions may be made for technical issues, billing errors, or within 14 days of your first-ever subscription. For App Store purchases, refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple.
